Description
- For dance composition:
- to compose sections of a group dance
- to create transitions between segments
- to create a “motif” for a dance
- For dance technique
- to teach placement and/or alignment
- to test understanding of concepts such as plies (which “he” does quite well but “she” doesn’t!)
- to place him in a stylistic pose (such as jazz) and ask students to identify the style portrayed
- to collaboratively identify common placement errors and make corrections on the figures
- to test understanding of various technique concepts
